Sony launches A1 Bravia 4K TVs in India starting at Rs. 3,64,900


Sony is bringing its premium Bravia OLED A1 TVs to India that comes in 55-inch and 65-inch models. The Bravia A1 line TVs features 4K display, HDR (High Dynamic Range) support and has a new image processor.

The A1 series TV's also come with Acoustic Woofer, which as per Sony's makes them the world's first large screen TVs to produce  powerful sound from the screen. This is made possible thanks to Acoustic Surface Technology, and gets an integrated sub-woofer behind the TV for deep bass.

The Bravia A1 55-inch and 65-inch TV models sports OLED TRILUMINOS displays, and come with a voice controlled remote that support interaction in 42 regional languages. They are powered by 4K HDR processor X1 Extreme and equipped with 4K X-Reality Pro dual-data base processing, Doby Pulse, Dolby Digital Pulse and runs Android TV 7.1 with Sony's UI on top.


The HDR capabilities combined with 4K Ultra HD resolution and the 4K HDR X1 Extreme processing unit, delivers exceptional detail, color and contrast, with a far wider range of brightness than other video formats. With 4K X-Reality Pro dual-data base processing, every single pixel is enhanced beautifully for an extraordinary clarity.

They house 16GB on internal storage, and feature Ethernet Port, WiFi, Miracast, HDMI ( x 4 ), and USB ports ( x 3) for connectivity. The TVs have Chromecast built-in, so users can stream their smartphone, tablet content directly to TV as well. They also come pre-loaded with Google Play Store to download apps and video straming apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime and others.

The Sony Bravia A1 OLED 55-inch TV has been priced at Rs. 3,64,900, and the 65-inch model costs Rs. 4,64,900. They will be available for pre-order from select dealers starting August 1 and will go on sale from August 4. Those who pre-book the TV will get a free PlayStation 4 gaming console.
